Lake Ogemaw Sandbars and Islands

Lake Ogemaw is a man-made lake that contains several islands and sandbars.  The largest sandbar is located on the northern center part of the lake and the channel by the sand bar is denoted as "no wake" area.  It is open for everyone.  The association does advise boaters to use caution as you go past the sandbars as many people young and old love to swim over the shallow sandbars.  It is highly recommended that you keep your pets on your watercraft to avoid any unwanted accidents.

The homes in front of the sandbar are private as well as ALL the islands.  Fishing is permitted near the islands although you should never dock your watercraft on any of the islands nor trespass.  No wake restrictions between the islands is a law not just a Lake Ogemaw restriction.

Have fun out there and remember to respect this beautiful lake and surrounding properties.
